Description
BLEASS Shimmer’s unique pitch-shifting reverb adds a magical dimension to your performances. It emphasizes harmonics and reveals new tonal colors as the lush reverb thickens and harmonizes, opening up a world of creative spatial and ambient effects.
BLEASS Shimmer’s versatile design offers a wealth of possibilities. Shape your sound with the multi-mode input filter, experiment with two pitch-shift modules at different points in the signal chain, enjoy a clean and rich reverb, and use the integrated ducker to make your dry signal stand out or create rhythmic “blooming” effects.
This sonic power is easily tamed thanks to a clear and tactile interface. Over 30 presets showcase the plugin’s depth and provide excellent starting points for your own sound design. From guitars and synths to vocals and even drums, BLEASS Shimmer will make everything shine.
Key Features and Controls:
Input Section:
- Filter: The filter graph visualizes and allows adjustment of the input filter. In low-shelving mode, drag horizontally to change the corner frequency and vertically to adjust the cut/boost amount. In high-pass mode, drag horizontally to adjust the cutoff frequency and vertically to control resonance.
- Filter Type: Select between low-shelving or high-pass filtering.
- Gain: Adjusts the level of the signal sent to the reverb and pitch shifters (does not affect the dry signal).
- Predelay: Introduces a delay between the input signal and the onset of the effect.
Pitch Shifter Sections:
- Pitch: Sets the coarse pitch shift in semitones (2 octaves).
- Fine: Adjusts the fine-tuning in cents (1/2 semitone).
- Delay Time: Sets the delay for the pitch shifter’s feedback, affecting the texture of the shifted signal.
- Mode: Selects the pitch shifter’s position in the signal chain: Pre (before reverb), Feedback (in reverb feedback loop), or Post (after reverb).
- Amount: Controls the level of the pitch-shifted signal.
Reverb Section:
- Room Size: Adjusts the reverb’s density and reflections.
- Color: Sets the cutoff frequency of a low-pass filter for the reverb reflections.
- Length: Sets the reverb decay time.
- Mod Rate: Controls the speed of the LFO that modulates the reverb reflections, creating a shimmering effect.
- Mod Amount: Adjusts the depth of the frequency modulation.
Ducker Section:
- Threshold: Triggers the ducker when the dry signal exceeds this level.
- Attack: Sets the ducker’s attack time.
- Release: Sets the ducker’s release time.
- Gain Reduction Meter: Visualizes the ducker’s activity.
