Description
BLEASS Flanger revitalizes the classic flanger effect with dual flexible LFOs, variable modulation routing, an envelope generator, and beat synchronization.
While traditional flangers modulate delay time, BLEASS Flanger combines multiple modulation sources for complex and evolving sonic textures. The added envelope generator responds to your playing dynamics, while the second LFO can modulate delay feedback or stereo width.
A multi-mode input filter shapes the tone, and beat-synced LFOs unlock new rhythmic possibilities. BLEASS’s intuitive interface makes this powerful toolset accessible and inspiring, ensuring your creativity remains unhindered. With efficient CPU usage and cross-platform compatibility (desktop, iPad, iPhone), BLEASS Flanger is the only flanger you’ll ever need.
Key Features and Controls:
Input Section:
- Filter: The filter graph displays and allows adjustment of the input filter. In low-shelving mode, drag horizontally to change the corner frequency and vertically to adjust the cut/boost amount. In high-pass mode, drag horizontally to adjust the cutoff frequency and vertically to control resonance.
- Filter Type: Select between low-shelving or high-pass filtering.
- Gain: Adjusts the level of the signal sent to the flanger engine (does not affect the dry signal).
LFO A: (Modulates Delay Time)
- Sync: Choose between beat-synced (BEAT) and free-running (FREE) LFO modes.
- Rate: Sets the LFO cycle length. In BEAT mode, the rate is a fraction of a beat. In FREE mode, it’s measured in Hz.
- Shape: Selects the LFO waveform: sine, triangle, sawtooth up, sawtooth down, square, or sample-and-hold.
- Depth: Controls the LFO’s modulation depth.
- Offset (Beat Sync Mode): Shifts the LFO’s phase relative to the beat.
- Phase: Creates a phase offset between the left and right LFO channels, from perfectly synchronized (0) to fully inverted (180).
- LFO B: (Modulates Delay Time, Feedback, or Width)
- Shares the same controls as LFO A, plus:
- Dest: Selects the target parameter for LFO B modulation: Time, Feedback, or Width.
Envelope Section:
- Amount: Controls the envelope’s influence on the delay time.
- Attack: Sets the envelope’s rise time.
- Release: Sets the envelope’s fall time.
Delay Section:
- Time: Sets the base delay time.
- Feedback: Controls the amount of signal fed back into the delay.
- Width: Biases the delay time towards the left or right channel.
Mix Section:
- Polarity: Controls whether the wet signal is added to or subtracted from the dry signal.
- Dry/Wet: Blends the dry and wet signals.
