Description

More subtle than flanging but richer than chorus, phasing is a classic effect for adding an otherworldly touch to guitars, keyboards, vocals, and bass. No effects arsenal is complete without it.

BLEASS Phaser delivers a versatile phasing experience, from gentle movement and resonant swirls to expansive atmospheric textures. Its captivating visualizer displays the notch frequencies, while the intuitive BLEASS interface makes working with the plugin a joy.

Phasers use all-pass filters to create frequency-specific phase shifts. When combined with the original signal, these shifts create notch filters. Multiple all-pass filters generate a complex comb filter effect. Modulating these filter frequencies produces the signature sweeping, whooshing sound of phasing.

BLEASS Phaser features two LFO modulation sources: one for the notch filter’s center frequency and another for the spread of notch frequencies. This allows for both classic repetitive phasing and complex, evolving patterns.

With BLEASS Phaser, you’ll have all the phasing power you need.

Key Features and Controls:

Frequency LFO:

  • Sync: Choose between beat-synced (BEAT) and free-running (FREE) LFO modes.
  • Rate: Sets the LFO cycle length. In BEAT mode, the rate is a fraction of a beat. In FREE mode, it’s measured in Hz.
  • Shape: Selects the LFO waveform: sine or triangle.
  • Amount: Controls the LFO’s influence on the phaser’s center frequency or spread.
  • Stereo: Creates a phase offset between the left and right LFO channels, from perfectly synchronized (0) to fully inverted (180).

Phaser Section:

  • Notches: Sets the number of notch filters, affecting the complexity of the phasing effect.
  • Frequency: Sets the center frequency of the phaser.
  • Spread: Controls the frequency range of the notch filters.
  • Feedback: Feeds the notch filters back on themselves, adding resonance.
  • Color: Reduces high frequencies in the processed signal.
  • Visualization: Displays the notch filters and their current frequencies.

Spread LFO:

  • Sync: Choose between beat-synced (BEAT) and free-running (FREE) LFO modes.
  • Rate: Sets the LFO cycle length. In BEAT mode, the rate is a fraction of a beat. In FREE mode, it’s measured in Hz.
  • Shape: Selects the LFO waveform: sine or triangle.
  • Amount: Controls the LFO’s influence on the phaser’s spread.
  • Stereo: Creates a phase offset between the left and right LFO channels, from perfectly synchronized (0) to fully inverted (180).
